Lydia Panart, Artist & Educator

My work gives shape to our human tendency towards constant movement in our search for meaning. Walking along this reflective path, I find inspiration in those “huellas” (traces) we all leave behind along our journey.

Lydia PanartLydia Panart graduated in Architecture from the National University of Buenos Aires. Following architectural practice, Lydia developed her professional artistic career under the mentorship of renowned Argentinean master Kenneth Kemble. An active Toronto-based artist nominated in 2016 for the TD Bank’s “10 Most Influential Hispanic Canadians”, she has participated in national and international art exhibits.

Artist Statement

My work gives shape to our human tendency towards constant movement in our search for meaning. Walking along this reflective path, I find inspiration in those “huellas” (traces) we all leave behind along our journey. I would like to invite the viewer into my work to help evoke personal memories and emotions, and to reflect on life’s richness.

Landscapes

Although I am recognized as an abstract artist, I enjoy teaching a wide variety of subject matter, and landscapes is one of them. The artworks available to order are mostly inspired by our Canadian environments, with the addition of abstracted settings reflecting my personal feelings and response to nature.
